Subsoiling has become an essential operation in modern agriculture. Deep soil tillage at depths of 40 cm or more helps eliminate the so-called plow pan, allowing better water and air circulation within the arable soil layer. The result of subsoiling is loose soil that supports the development of plant root systems. In the case of heavy rainfall, water drains more effectively into deeper layers, while during drought, moisture can more easily rise to the soil surface.
