High speed pick-up

The design of the MF collector does not have a curved path, which allows for significantly higher operating speeds. Thanks to fewer moving parts, the collector without a curved path is quieter, simpler to operate and at the same time more reliable. Therefore, reduced maintenance costs and fewer required adjustments save time and thus increase efficiency.

The collector system is equipped with a series of five teeth, the distance between which is only 64 mm, which enables a high flow rate at all times and a quiet, even filling even at high speeds. On MF machines for baling round bales, the collector is mounted in the immediate vicinity of the rotor, which improves the flow of material and reduces the possibility of blocking.

Xtracut

Massey Ferguson round balers can be equipped with 13, 17 or 25 knives and are designed for optimum performance. These cutters feature the longest blades available on the market. This guarantees that not a single uncultivated crop gets through.

Xtracut 17 and 25 have two hydraulically driven groups of knives that can be controlled from the cabin, at the customer’s request.

Xtracut 17 and 25 feature two sets of hydraulically operated knife banks with separate control from the cab depending on customer requirements.

Hydroflexcontrol

MF round balers are equipped with the unique Hydroflexcontrol protection system, which works in two phases to maximize efficiency in the field and reduce downtime. The first stage is an automatic mechanical suspension of the floor to remove smaller blockages, and the second stage is a hydraulically controlled lowering of the floor to remove larger blockages. In the first stage, Hydroflexcontrol ensures that the front part of the base of the supply channel can be moved up and down, which can prevent up to 80% of potential blockages. In this way, periods of work interruptions are reduced, that is, the period of work is extended.

If a blockage does occur, the driver from the cab activates the second stage of the Hydroflexcontrol system in which the rear part of the feed chute base hydraulically raises and lowers, thus reliably feeding any blockages into the bale chamber, which also reduces downtime.

Bale chamber

The bale chamber consists of 18 PowerGrip rollers that ensure high grip and faster bale rotation, increasing density and improving bale shape.

The press rollers with their ten ribs are made of seamless pipe. They set high standards in the industry when it comes to longevity and performance, and are known for their design and ability to withstand the most adverse weather conditions.

Wrapping options

Varionet and Variotwin take care of perfect wrapping and perfectly shaped bales. They shorten the tying cycle, save yarn and net and make the bales extremely stable for transport and storage.

The highly efficient tying system Varionet is equipped with a special tying and spreading system that takes care of the most different widths and types of nets and for fast and reliable tying of bales from edge to edge or around them.

The optional twine system Variotwin offers simple and economical bale tying. The unique regulation of the speed change allows for a greater number of yarn wraps on the edges of the bales. In this way, the bales are tied faster and more reliably fixed on the edges of the yarn, and even the lightest straw can be pressed quickly and safely.

Easy Loading System (ELS)

Thanks to the standard Easy Loading Systems (ELS), a spare net roll can be stored very easily on the baler. Rolls are changed in minutes, increasing effective working time and throughput.

Monitoring and controls

Balecontrol E

The MF RB 1125F and RB 2125F models are equipped with the Balecontrol E system, a simple and effective monitoring screen that informs the driver when the bales have reached the correct size and activates manual or automatic tying. This screen shows the number of bales per day as well as the total number of bales.

E-Link

On the MF RB 2125FPR model, E-Link offers integrated monitoring and control functions for all essential key functions. Built into a practical hand-held device, E-Link offers the driver preselection of hydraulic functions such as bale density and net length management, knife group selection and displays working hours as well as the status of various bale counters.
